Little Free Library is a non-profit organization that inspires a love of reading, builds community, and sparks creativity by fostering neighborhood book exchanges throughout the world. Here’s How It Works: Little Free Library is a "take a book, share a book" free book exchange. You may donate a book (or more) by simply placing it inside the library. You may take a book for yourself or to give to someone. You do not have to replace a book if you take one, but exchanging is certainly appreciated! Please stop by 's Little Free Library during the summer. Staff & students will be adding new books all summer long. Character Education / 8 Keys of Excellence-Key of the Month / Programa De EducatiÓn de CarÁcter Laurel's student of the month recognition is aligned with our district-wide character education program, The 8 Keys of Excellence. The character education program guides our students toward a positive future full of confidence, motivation, creativity, teamwork, leadership and valuable life principles. Building good character helps students realize their greatness and enables them to strive for academic and lifelong success. By selecting students of the month based on the 8 Keys of Excellence, every student in each class will have the opportunity to be recognized and honored. Each month we focus on one of the 8 Keys of Excellence. Este año hemos realizado un cambio en nuestro proceso de selección del Estudiante del Mes para todos los grados en Laurel (TK-5th). Students that wear their uniforms regularly will earn privileges and rewards throughout the year. Our school community partner, the Assistance League of North County, will once again provide free uniforms for families in need this year. Uniforms promote school safety and enhance the learning environment, and diminish the clothing competition reducing bullying.
